RETURNS AND CANCELLATIONS POLICY

At Journey of Life, our goal is to provide a safe and unforgettable experience. Due to the complex logistics of expeditions in Patagonia and the variable weather conditions, we apply the following terms:

1) Cancellations by the client

If you decide to cancel your reservation, the refund will depend on the situation and the notice period:

  • 100% refund of the amount paid if you cancel with 1 day’s notice.
  • 80% refund if payment was made through the website (due to tax considerations).
  • No-show: If the client does not arrive at the agreed time and place, 100% of the reservation fee will be forfeited.
  • If there is availability, the trip can be rescheduled and the time changed.

2) Cancellations due to weather or force majeure

Safety is our priority. In Patagonia, the weather can change drastically.

  • Guide’s Decision: If the port is closed by the Navy or the lead guide determines that conditions are unsafe for kayaking, one of the following options will be offered:
  • Rescheduling: The activity will be offered at a different time or date.
  • Change of Activity: Kayaking will be replaced with an alternative activity (in this case, horseback riding).
    • A fee or refund will be charged or issued depending on the tour.
  • Refund: If rescheduling is not possible:
    • 100% if payment was made by national bank transfer.
    • 80% if payment was made through the website.

3) Tour Interruption

If, once the tour has started, it must be canceled due to sudden weather changes or security emergencies, a partial refund will be considered, proportional to the portion of the service not provided.

There will be no refunds if the client decides to leave the activity for personal reasons (fatigue, fear, etc.) once the tour has started.

4) Refund Process

All requests must be submitted in writing to the official email address or via WhatsApp.

Refunds will be issued via bank transfer or credit card reversal within 5 to 10 business days of approval.
